Broadway favorite Gavin Creel is featured on the cover of this Friday's Next Magazine. In the interview, he chats about his new album, his work on marriage equality and his struggles coming out to his family.

Actor and singer Gavin Creel has appeared in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and the 2009 revival of HAIR and on Broadway, as well as PROMETHEUS BOUND at a.r.t. in Cambridge, MA., the 2004 Broadway Revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, The Goodman Theatre/Kennedy Center production of BOUNCE, as well as HAIR and MARY POPPINS on the West End.

As a solo artist, Creel plays to sold-out crowds across the country and at such New York hot spots as Symphony Space, Joe's Pub, and Arlene's Grocery. His debut pop album "GOODTIMENATION," and intimate follow-up EP, "Quiet," were both written and recorded with long time collaborator, Robbie Roth. Creel has a third studio album being released in spring 2012.

Creel is also a respected advocate for the LGBT community. He was honored as one of OUT Magazine's OUT 100 in 2009 for his work as co-founder of Broadway Impact, a grassroots organization of the theatre community aimed at educating and inspiring the public to join the fight for marriage equality. Through his advocacy, Creel has gained national attention performing and speaking at events and rallies alongside Lady Gaga, Sara Bareilles, Cynthia Nixon, Dustin Lance Black, and HRC national dinner keynote speaker President Barack Obama.
