Ana Gasteyer, the former SNL comedian who has become a bona fide musical theatre star in the Chicago production of Wicked and other shows, will appear alongside jazz singer and musician Julian Fleisher for an evening of song at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) on February 27th at 9:30 PM.

According to press notes, there will be "selections from basically every corner of the canon . . . 70 minutes of music, mayhem and frosty mojitos. Standard, contemporary, original and more: no tune is off limits, no era out-of-bounds."

Gasteyer, who was last seen as Wicked's Elphaba on the Chicago stage, will next appear as Mrs. Peachum in the starry Roundabout Theatre Company revival of The Threepenny Opera. The star, who appeared on "Saturday Night Live" from 1996 to 2002, made her Broadway debut in The Rocky Horror Show, and appeared off-Broadway in Kimberly Akimbo and The Vagina Monologues. She was seen regionally as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and also in Cinderella at New York City Opera. Her film and TV credits include "Reefer Madness: The Musical," Mean Girls, What Women Want, Dick and What's The Worst That Could Happen?

Fleisher, who is heard on the CD Rather Big (on Modern Records), recently composed music for the off-Broadway John Cariani play Almost, Maine. He is also behind the Julian Fleisher Presents: Monday Music series at Starlight in the East Village, and produced the CD Kiki & Herb Will Die For You at Carnegie Hall.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $23 at the door. They can be ordered by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
