Gallery Henoch Presents Winter Group Spotlight: Max Ferguson

The new painting by Max Ferguson touches on his interest in family. A young mother is viewed overlooking a vast horizon of water. It is an image that speaks of tranquility and optimism. Ferguson posses the rare ability to depict very intimate moments with a pervasive appeal. At times it's as if the more personal the piece, the more universal his message.

Ferguson's style, which is comparable to a mixture of 17th Century Vermeer and 20th Century Edward Hopper, is meticulously detailed. Ferguson's paintings have been widely exhibited & collected since the 1980s, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The British Museum, Crystal Bridges Museum of Art and numerous other public and private collections.

On January 22nd, Gallery Henoch assisted in the unveiling of a new portrait by Max Ferguson. Broadway Producers Bonnie Comley & Stewart F. Lane hosted an evening celebration of friends and supporters of STEPS To End Family Violence. The portrait was won by Comley&Lane at a benefit auction this past summer. For the portrait the couple selected to have their twin sons painted.

STEPS To End Family Violence is dedicated to empowering families and communities through innovative strength-based prorams that promote healing and social change. It is a NYC Program at The Edwin Gould Foundation.
