Golden Globe and Tony-nominated actor Matthew Morrison has announced that he will release his debut solo album this fall.

Morrison, who has appeared on Broadway six times and now stars as Will Schuester on the hit Fox show GLEE, tells Access Hollywood that the material on his album will be "kind of like [Justin] Timberlake meets [Michael] Buble" and that it would have an "adult pop feel."

Matthew Morrison is reportedly heading into the studio soon to start recording, according to Access Hollywood. No specific release date for his album has been set. Fans will get their next dose of him when he returns to GLEE on Fox on April 13th.

On GLEE, Morrison plays an optimistic teacher who attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential.

Matthew Morrison last returned to Broadway in the Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific. For his performance he received a Tony nomination. It was at Lincoln Center where he also created the role of Fabrizio in the musical The Light in the Piazza, for which he was also nominated for a Tony Award. His other Broadway credits include A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, Hairspray, The Rocky Horror Show and Footloose. He appeared off-Broadway last summer in the musical 10 Million Miles at the Atlantic Theatre Company. His TV and film credits include Dan In Real Life, Marci X, Primary Colors, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, CSI:Miami, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Once Upon A Mattress.
