GLEE's Chris Colfer to Write Disney Channel Pilot

According to pulished reports, GLEE's Chris Colfer has signed on to write a pilot for the Disney Channel, based on the 1960 children's book, 'The Little Leftover Witch.'

As described by Deadline.com, 'the series would be about a little witch who was taken in by a family after crash-landing from her broom. The book was originally optioned by Rick Fine, the husband of Colfer's Coast To Coast agent Meredith Fine, who brought the property to Chris to adapt.'

Colfer is best known for his portrayal of Kurt Hummel on Glee, for which he has received several nominations and awards, including the Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor in 2011.
