A source close to production has disclosed to HollywoodLife.com that the upcoming season of FOX's Glee will likely pay tribute to late actor Cory Monteith and be dedicated in his honor.

Reveals the source:

"With this being so sudden and unexpected, there have been zero thoughts or discussions on the direction of the show. And there will not be any thoughts on how to react to this till some of the grieving process subsides. ... But it's easy to say there will be a tribute episode, and the season will be dedicated in his honor."

They continue, "Cory will have a never-ending connection to the legacy of the show; it will be handled delicately and with the utmost respect. The whole situation is just completely awful, and those [issues] will be addressed ... but its safe to say, in the current state people are in over his death, that it will take some time."

The body of the 31-year-old Glee star was discovered in his Vancouver hotel room on Saturday, July 13th. While a cause of death has not been disclosed, autopsy results are expected in the next 2 to 3 days.

Monteith, who was dating his Glee co-star and Broadway vet Lea Michele, starred in the film Monte Carlo, opposite Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez and Katie Cassidy. His other film credits include FINAL DESTINATION 3, THE INVISIBLE, DECK THE HALLS, and WHISPER. He left rehab in April of 2013, after voluntarily admitting himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction in March of 2013.

His television credits include a lead role on the series "Kaya" and a recurring guest-star role on KYLE XY. He has also made numerous guest appearances on television shows, including SMALLVILLE, SUPERNATURAL, STARGATE, FLASH GORDON, and INTERNS. Additionally, he starred in the 2007 television movie HYBRID.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Monteith moved to Vancouver Island at a very young age. Throughout his life he has held jobs as a Wal-Mart greeter, a school bus driver, a roofer and a cab driver, before pursuing a career in acting.
