According to a recent article by the LA Times, the GLEE cast's next stop is Springfield, home of the "Simpsons."
The Simpsons showrunner Al Jean let the news slip during a panel for the "Simpsons" Saturday afternoon and Comic-Con. The panel also included creator Matt Groening, executive producer Matt Selman and supervising director Mike Anderson. Jean announced that in an episode in the show's upcoming season, animated versions of the GLEE club will visit the town. Other guest stars scheduled for the season are Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, Cheech and Chong, Hugh Laurie and Wallace and Gromit.Fans who attended the panel caught a sneak peek of the upcoming "Treehouse of Horror" episode, which according to the LA Times showed board games coming to life and wreaking havoc on the town.
Many questions had to do with the show's staying power."As long as families keep having problems, we have stories," Jean said. "The hardest thing at this point is thinking of plots we haven't done. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't hard."?
Goening said, "I don't think there is a problem with ideas. We have so many characters -- what is there, like 50? One of the great things about animation is it creates a dream world. That's fun for me as an animator."
"Really, there is no end in sight," Jean said.
