GLEE Surpasses Elvis in Top 100 Hits

According to Oh No They Didn't, Fox's hit musical comedy GLEE has officially surpassed Elvis Presley's record for the most Top 100 hits, with a whooping 113 songs having placed on the list.  Presley scored 108 between the years of 1958, when the survey began, and 2003.

GLEE's highest ranking song remains Journey's "Don't Stop Believin," which reached #4 in June of 2009. This week, Lea Michele's rendition of Katy Perry's "Firework" is at #34.  Additionally GLEE just broke its own record, set in December of 2010, with 9 singles on the list simultaneously.

To date over 13 million GLEE songs have been digitally downloaded, with over 5 million albums sold worldwide. GLEE scored three consecutive #1 releases with GLEE: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers, GLEE: The Music, The Power of Madonna and GLEE: The Music, Journey To Regionals. This week four GLEE releases occupy slots within Billboard's top 100 best selling albums Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers at #31, Glee: The Music, Volume 1 at #58, GLEE: The Music, Journey To Regionals at #66 and GLEE: The Music, Volume 2 at #81.
