GLEE, Lansbury, et al. Win 2011 Dorian Awards

The Gay & Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association today announced winners for the group's second annual Dorian Awards, which honor their picks for the best in film and television of all kinds. 

Notable wins include I Am Love (Magnolia Pictures) for Film of the Year, Annette Bening for Film Performance of the Year (for The Kids Are All Right), I Love You Phillip Morris for LGBT-Themed Film of the Year and Easy A for Unsung Film of the Year. The CBS drama The Good Wife, Fox's Glee and HBO's Hung took top TV categories, while Michael C. Hall of Dexter and Glee's Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer earned wins in TV performance categories.

ABOUT GALECA and the DORIAN AWARDS The Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association (GALECA) is comprised of esteemed critics, entertainment journalists and pop culture critics who work for noteworthy newspapers, magazines, websites and TV and radio outlets nationwide. The group's collective experience continues to offer society a unique and cherished perspective on popular culture. GALECA members nominate movies, TV programs and performances from a variety of categories, not just LGBT-centric.

Among the many Dorian Award winners in its inaugural year: Colin Firth for Film Performance of the Year, Drew Barrymore for TV Drama Performance of the Year, Jane Lynch for TV Musical or Comedy Performance of the Year, Gabourey Sidibe for Rising Star and Glee for Musical or Comedy of the Year.
