Gleeks, we are just one episode away from Nationals, but with such joy and excitement comes the demise of many things - and tonight, we will mourn the loss of several things before the joy of Nationals overwhelms us.

Mr. Schuester signs up Jesse to consult him on how to prepare the New Directions, which has Finn on edge, and only gets worse as Jesse calls Finn out on his less than stellar talents. Sue, Terri, and Howard hack into Principal Figgin's email account to mess with the New Directions travel plans to New York, before Terri calls Sue on her more ruthless than usual exterior. Becky and her mother come to Will to inquire about Becky joining Glee Club after Sue kicks her off the Cheerios, but sadly Will is unable to fulfill the request so close to Nationals. Will confronts Sue on why she kicked Becky off the Cheerios, only to find out that Jean, Sue's sister has passed away, and Becky is a reminder of the sister Sue lost. Jesse and Will put up a sign up sheet to audition for soloist for Nationals, but Finn refuses to sign up due to Jesse's harsh criticisms.

Will has decided to do April's show, after Nationals and during the summer, before returning to Lima for the next school year, so he asks Emma to help him pack. Kurt and Finn, both well versed in what it is to lose someone, go to comfort Sue - who completely destroyed and questions why her good sister is dead, while she - the meanest person around - is still alive.  Finn and Kurt appeal to the Glee Club to help set up a service for Jean, and despite Jesse's veto of the idea, Finn stands up as leader and decide to move forward with the idea.

Will comes to Sue to let her know that it's wonderful of her to allow the Glee Club to help with her sister's service, but Sue, in typical fashion, shrugs it all off. Auditions for Nationals soloist kick off with Santana singing "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse and Kurt singing "Some People" from Gypsy, but both performances fail to wow Jesse, who is taking cues from a class he took at UCLA about reality talent show judging.

The auditions for soloist continue with Mercedes taking on "Try A Little Tenderness" by Ottis Redding while Rachel channels her inner Streisand by singing "My Man" from Funny Girl.  When it comes to Mercedes, Jesse is unimpressed, but typically loves Rachel's number. Finn and Kurt assist Sue in cleaning out her sister's room, but Sue is unapologetic, putting off Kurt and Finn who are attempting to help the best they can.  However, the information that Willy Wonka was one of Jean's favorite movies gives Kurt and Finn an idea.

Will comforts Sue as they both make their way into Jean's service, which turns out is Willy Wonka themed. After Sue falters while trying to give her speech, Will comes to her aid and delivers the rest of the speech for her. The Glee Club performs "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka in Jean's honor, leaving not a dry eye in the house. Finn, after being touched by Sue's speech, breaks up with Quinn due to his feelings for Rachel.

Becky comes to turn in her pom-poms and megaphone, but Sue surprises her by reinstating her as a Cheerio, and proclaiming to make her Head Cheerio next year. Sue comes to Will to thank him for what he and the Glee Club did, before revealing what she, Terri, and Howard did. But, Terri appears and reveals that she got the Glee Club first class tickets to New York, before revealing that she is moving to Miami to head up the new Sheets N Things there, bidding goodbye to Will.  But, the goodbyes don't end there as Emma, wearing one of Will's old vests, bids farewell to Will before he leaves for New York.

Jesse and Will continue to debate on who will be soloist, with Jesse, typically favoring Rachel, but Will isn't so sure. After meeting with Will, Jesse reveals to Rachel that she will in fact be the soloist, and that his feelings for her are still alive and well, sealing with a kiss, which Finn witnesses as he was hoping to appeal to Rachel as well. When Rachel and Jesse go to check the bulletin board to celebrate Rachel's soloist position, they are shocked to find a notice about an urgent meeting in the choir room. Will informs the Glee Club at the meeting that they are going to go ahead with the original plan of performing original songs, confusing Jesse, who once again proclaims this idea will not go in their favor at Nationals. As the Glee Club gets to work on some new original material for Nationals, Finn tells Quinn he thinks it's cool that she hasn't quit Glee Club, but Quinn reveals she has big plans for New York.

It's ON to New York, Gleeks. Next week - will all the Glee Club's hard work pay off? Will their dreams come true? Will Rachel choose Finn or Jesse?  Grab your I Love New York t-shirts, and I'll see you at Nationals, Gleeks!
