GAME PLAY Opens Tomorrow at Ars Nova

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director) kicks off 2014 with Game Play, this year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production. An evening of original short plays and live music inspired by classic board game titles, Game Play will have 10 performances, January 29 - February 8.

Step aside Milton Bradley, because Ars Nova's Play Group has game night covered. The dice are hot and luck is on your side in this wild night of short plays and live music inspired by everyone's favorite board games. This year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production features new works by Sofia Alvarez, Sarah Burgess, Sarah Gancher, Nick Gandiello, Stephen Karam, Brian Otaño, Daniel Pearle, Max Posner, Erica Saleh, A. Zell Williams and Bess Wohl. Directed by Sash Bischoff, Peter James Cook, Portia Krieger and Andrew Neisler.

Game Play is performed by Peter Benson (Broadway: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Harvey, Promises, Promises, The Pajama Game; at Ars Nova: The Urban Dictionary Plays), Marcia DeBonis (Off-B'way: Fran's Bed; Film: The Truman Show), Dashiell Eaves (B'way: A Time to Kill, A Behanding in Spokane, Coram Boy, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, James Joyce's The Dead, 1776, The Sound of Music), Brandon Gill (The Last Goodbye - The Old Globe), Ben Graney (B'way: War Horse; Off-B'way: When The Rain Stops Falling; at Ars Nova - The Netflix Plays), Susan Heyward (B'way: The Trip to Bountiful), Jessica Love (Bottom of the World - Atlantic Theater Company - Stage 2; Bachelorette - Studio Theater; Anna Christie - The Old Globe) and Carmen Zilles (Off-B'way: Chimichangas and Zoloft).

Game Play includes Costume Design by Tilly Grimes and Daniel Dabdoub, Lighting Design by Richard Chamblin, Sound Design by Anthony Mattana, Projection Design by Caite Hevner Kemp and Prop Design by Noah Mease. Music Direction by Mike Brun and Live Music by Crossfire. The Production Stage Manager is Lisa McGinn.
