Full Casting Announced for Project W Theatre Festival

InProximity Theatre Company today announced full casting for the first annual Project W Theatre Festival, a multi-day free play reading event June 6 - 10, 2017 featuring new plays written, directed and produced by women. Cherry Lane Theatre's Studio, located at 38 Commerce Street, will serve as the exclusive venue for all readings.

· Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 8:00p.m. - THE CLUB, written by Amy Fox (Sony Pictures Classics's Equity), directed By Suzanne Agins (Hangar Theater's in the Heights) and a cast of Cindy Cheung, Eileen Rivera (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Fable), Emily Donahoe, Jason Liebman, Jolie Curtsinger (Promising at Theatre Row) and Melanie Nicholls Kind.

· Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 8:00p.m. - HALCYON, written by Danielle Mohlman, directed by Maureen Monterubio, with a cast comprised of Emma Jackson, Greg Fallick, Kim Wong (Triad Stage's All's Well That Ends Well and The Guthrie's King Lear) and Zachary Clark (Triad Stage's Abundance).

· Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 8:00p.m. - STILL LIFE, written by Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich, directed by Shelley Butler (South Coast Repertory's A Doll's House, Part 2), and a cast including Deborah Hedwall (59E59's The Fall to Earth & OBIE award and a Drama Desk Nomination for Manhattan Theater Club's Sight Unseen), Johnny Wu (CBS's The Good Wife) and Zoe Winters (Ars Nova's Small Mouth Sounds & New York Theatre Workshop's Red Speedo).

· Friday, June 9, 2017 at 8:00p.m. HONOR KILLING, written by Sarah Bierstock directed by Pamela Berlin (Lucille Lortel Theatre's Steel Magnolias). Cast includes Amar Srivastava, Farah Bala, John Skelley, Kathy Searle, Maria Couch, Steve Hauck (Walter Kerr Theatre's Irena's Vow) and Rajesh Bose (Roundabout Theatre's Indian Ink).

Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 8:00p.m. - THE FLORA AND FAUNA written by Alyson Mead, directed by Stefanie Sertich (Theatre for the New City's Heathens) and a cast of Kelly Kunkel and Mariah Sanchez.

Admission to all performances during the Festival will be free. Donations are welcome as they will be contributed to Planned Parenthood of New York City, an organization that provides sexual and reproductive health care and information and advocates for reproductive rights.
