Full Cast Of Paper Mill's 'Diary Of Anne Frank" Announced

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced the second production of the 2005-2006 season: Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett's timeless classic drama The Diary of Anne Frank adapted by Wendy Kesselman with direction by Carolyn Cantor.

The ensemble features Shana Dowdeswell in the title role with Dana Powers Acheson as Margot Frank, Isabel Keating (The Boy From Oz) as Edith Frank, Peter Kybart (Judgement at Nuremberg) as Otto Frank, Nancy Robinette as Mrs. Van Daan, Michael Rupert (Falsettos) as Mr. Dussel, Christa Scott-Reed as Miep Gies, Michael Stahl-David as Peter Van Daan, Jeff Talbott as Mr. Kraler and David Wohl as Mr. Van Daan with Steve Brady, Peter Bretz, Donna Davis and Seamus Mulcahy.  Performances begin Wednesday evening, January 18, 2006 and continue through Sunday evening, February 26, 2006.  Opening night is Sunday evening, January 22 at 7:30PM.

The creative team for The Diary of Anne Frank is David Korins (Sets), Ilona Somogyi (Costumes), Kevin Adams (Lights), Randy Hansen (Sound) and Charles LaPointe (Hair & Wigs).  The Production Stage Manager is Gail Luna.

The Diary of Anne Frank follows two years of Anne Frank¹slife from 1942 to 1944, when she and her family were forced into hidingduring the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam.   In her diary,thirteen-year-old Anne recorded mostly her hopes, frustrations, clasheswith her parents, and observations of her companions. The final entryin her diary coincides with the capture of the family, which led to heruntimely death.  

The Diary of Anne Frank begins performances on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 and runs through Sunday, February 26, 2006. OPENING NIGHT IS SUNDAY EVENING, JANUARY 22 AT 7:30PM.   The performance schedule is Wednesdaysat 7:30PM, Thursdays at 2:00PM & 7:30PM, Fridays at 8:00PM,Saturdays at 2:00PM & 8:00PM and Sundays at 2:00PM & 7:30PM.  

Single tickets are now on sale and range in price from $68 to $19(new Mezzanine II pricing).  Student rush tickets are $16 and availableday of performance in person with current ID.
