About the show:
Set in 1905 in the tradition-steeped village of Anatevka, Russia, Fiddler on the Roof is a poignant folk-tale that tells the story of Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to instill in his daughters their cultural traditions in the face of changing social mores of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic
detail, Fiddler on the Roof is a cherished American-musical laden with happiness and tears. Whether at 'Sunrise' or 'Sunset,' this is one Muny tradition that audiences won't want to miss!
