In addition to conquering the stage and performing on screen, many Broadway stars have lent their voice talents to another medium: video games! BroadwayWorld has rounded up some of the video games where you can hear some of your favorite Broadway voices, from Jonathan Groff to Kerry Butler.

Kingdom Hearts 3

KINGDOM HEARTS III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure. Set in a vast array of Disney and Pixar worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS follows THE JOURNEY of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power. Sora is joined by Donald Duck and Goofy to stop an evil force known as the Heartless from invading and overtaking the universe.

Kingdom Hearts 3 features many Broadway stars voice talents! Kristen Bell's Anna, Josh Gad's Olaf, Jonathan Groff's Kristoff and Idina Menzel's Elsa all return for the game. In the world of Tangled, Zachary Levi returns to voice Flynn Rider and Donna Murhpy voices Mother Gothel. Susan Egan also reprises the her voice role of Megara for the game!

Previous Kingdom Hearts games features many of these Broadway stars, and others including Jodi Benson's Ariel, and more!


Red Dead Redemption II

Red Dead Redemption II is set in 1899 in a fictionalized representation of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. Arthur must deal with the decline of THE WILD WEST whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. The story also follows fellow gang member John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption.

In the game Roger Clark voices the main character Arthur Morgan and Max von Essen voices Pierre. Kerry Butler and Michael Park both lend their voices to '"he Local Pedestrian Population." Other Broadway voice actors include Greg Hildreth...Archibald Macgregor, Ellen Harvey as Catherine Braithwaite (voice), Kevin Cahoon as Clay / Clay Davies, Jeff McCarthy as David Geddes, Priscilla Lopez as Gloria, Ken Jennings as Hermit, and Edward Baker-Duly as Margaret. Brian Tyree Henry also provided motion capture for the game!


Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, Science fiction and characters, intertwined with real-world historical events and figures. For the majority of time players control an Assassin in the past history, while they also play as Desmond Miles or an Assassin Initiate in the present day, who hunt down their Templar targets.

Frozen star Kristen Bell lent her voice to the Assassin's Creed franchise as Lucy Stillman, a member of the Assassin Order and a genetic memory researcher for Abstergo Industries' Animus Project.


Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

In Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, players control four different versions of Spider-Man, each originating from a different universe in the Marvel Comics multiverse. The game revolves around an artifact known as the Tablet of Order and Chaos. When it is shattered into pieces during a fight between Spider-Man and Mysterio, it causes problems with multiple Marvel Universe realities. Madame Web calls on four versions of Spider-Man from four realities to assist her in bringing the realities back into balance: the Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099, and Ultimate Spider-Man. In their quest to recover the tablet fragments and save their realities, the four Spider-Men face various villains from their respective dimensions, who have already acquired the fragments and used them to gain new powers, making them a bigger threat than ever before.

Neil Patrick Harris voiced primary, present day traditional version of Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. After a battle with Mysterio in his home universe, the "Tablet of Order and Chaos" was fragmented and sent to several different alternate dimensions. This version of Spider-Man has to contend with the likes of Kraven the Hunter, the Sandman, and Juggernaut before the final confrontation.


Bully

Set within the fictional town of Bullworth, Bully follows juvenile delinquent student James "Jimmy" Hopkins, who is involuntarily enrolled at Bullworth Academy for a year, and his efforts to rise through the ranks of the school system in order to put a stop to bullying. Players control Jimmy as he attempts to become more popular within the school's various "cliques", in addition to attending classes and completing side missions. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on foot, skateboard, scooter, bicycle, or go-kart. In the Scholarship Edition, a two-player competitive multiplayer mode lets two players compete for the highest score in different classes.

A few Broadway stars provide voices for characters in Bully, with Adam Chanler-Berat voicing Norton, Drew Gehling voicing Gord Vendome, Kevin Cahoon voicing Thad, and Geneva Carr voicng the mom!


Until Dawn

In Until Dawn, players assume control of eight young adults who have to survive on Blackwood Mountain when their lives are threatened. The game features a butterfly effect system in which players must make choices that may change the story. All playable characters can survive or die, depending on the choices made. Players explore the environment from a third-person perspective and find clues that may help solve the mystery.

Stage and screen star Jordan Fisher voices and provided motion capture for Matthew "Matt" Taylor in the game, alongside other notable actors including Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, and Meaghan Martin.


The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is the final chapter of the Spyro trilogy, which finds Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the evil of the Dark Master, Malefor, envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Wayne Brady voices Sparx in the game, which also features the voices of Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, Christina Ricci, Mark Hamill and Blair Underwood.


The Last of Us Part II

Set five years after The Last of Us (2013), players control two characters in a post-apocalyptic United States: Ellie, who sets out for revenge, and Abby, a soldier who becomes involved in a conflict between a militia and a cult.

Merle Dandridge reprises her role as Marlene, the leader of Fireflies, a rebel militia opposing the quarantine zone authorities.

Dandridge can also be heard as Alyx Vance in the Half-Life 2 games.
