FRIGID New York is proud to present FunnYmmigrants: A Comedy Festival! Running this weekend and next, January 3rd through 13th, catch New York City's funniest immigrants at Under St. Marks. There will be no drink minimum, and lots of laughs.

A comedy festival celebrating Immigrant comics from all over the world. Curated by Lucie Pohl host & creator of Immigrant Jam, Hi, Hitler and the voice of Mercy on Overwatch, and FRIGID's very own Tess Henry. This festival will be funny, timely and know no bounds.

Sparked by the death of his father and birth of his daughter, Comedy Central Comedian Bill Santiago goes in search of answers and laughs at the border of science and religion, exploring the comic nature of the cosmic quest for understanding existence, life, death and the number 33 (not necessarily in that order).

Comedian and Comedy Central UK writer Sid Singh returns from London to perform a hard hitting and funny show about the spiraling refugee crisis, forced empathy, and the correct way to hate.

Daniel Simonsen

Saturdays, January 5th and 12th at 8:30 pm

An hour of stand up from quirky award winning Norwegian comic Daniel Simonsen. Simonsen started his comedy career in the UK where he got crowned best newcomer at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was as a regular cast member on the British sitcom House of Fools. He recently relocated to New York City and just performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Unheard Of with Eman El-Husseini

A Canadian, a Palestinian, a Muslim, and a lesbian walk into a bar ladies and gentlemen, it's just Eman El-Husseini. Yes, she's all those catastrophic identities rolled into one her life is a current event. From the Muslim ban to Palestinian rights and marriage equality to the ice cream truck that insists on parking in front of her building, it's all happening and it's happening to her, especially. Strap in and get comfortable, Eman has a lot to work through. In her decade-long comedy career, Eman has headlined across Canada, opened for Patton Oswalt, and recorded her first comedy album, Unveiled, which can be heard regularly on SiriusXM Radio.

Non Kuramoto is a New York based Japanese actor, comedian, writer, and feminist-art-slut. She uses laughter and absurdity as tools to elevate voices of Asian women, experimenting with various art forms to find the funny in paranoia, identity crises, and depression. Non made her Off-Broadway debut in The Sex Myth: A Devised Play. Her play, The Fart Play (I'm Sad): A Dance, was produced at Nasty Women Unite Festival.

Alien Comics with Pan Dora

Alien Comics is a stand up showcase featuring a diverse mix of comics from different international & religious backgrounds. Every performer will bring a unique voice representing their origins, beliefs & culture. This show will offer not only comedy, but a cultural experience to be shared with the audience.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy.
