Engaging audiences through spoken word and theater, The Grown Folks Tour features two solo plays that explore and examine what it means to grow up, love and become yourself. SHE THINK SHE GROWN is a journey of learning how to grow up without getting ahead of yourself. In FOR THOSE WHO PRAY IN CLOSETS, Isaiah is a 22-year old man who, by day, is a quiet church boy. But by night, he is a budding drag princess trying to hide his relationship with the pastor's son.

The 11th -annual FRESH FRUIT FESTIVAL, a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender arts and culture, comes to the Wild Project. The annual smorgasbord of LGBT performance features solo performances, readings, one act plays, ten-minute plays, full-length dramas, music, comedies and a look at what is new in internet video. Highlights include Kellie Dunham and Gene Murphy's QUEER MEMOIRS, where queer writers, poets, and storytellers weave stories on the topic of "ashes" into an interlocking pattern of queer lives and experiences; and Duncan Phlaster's ST KRISTIE, a look at Christianity and religious myth.

The annual festival celebrating contemporary Mediterranean culture in New York returns to the Wild Project. Highlights of this year's eclectic programming include: the Arab-Hebrew Theater of Jaffa in their newest production of EYES, a theatrical musical journey based on the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish; the North American premiere of REDSHIFT, a Kafka-esque new play by critically acclaimed Greek playwright Yiannis Mavritsakis; and SUITE CAMUS a Germany-France-Algeria collaboration led by the Brooklyn-based composer Andreas Arnold, a multimedia concert celebrating the writer's centennial. As in its previous two editions, the festival will feature again a strong program of contemporary dance with choreographers from Israel, Turkey, Portugal, Italy and the US.
