A free reading of Brian Hampton's newest full-length play, "It All Starts With Everything" will be presented as part of THE PUZZLE theatre festival, now in its 6th season at the historic Marble Collegiate Church on Monday, June 20th at 7pm.
The cast features writer/actor, Brian Hampton (The Jungle Fun Room, Checking In, Gossip) as Cole, Brendan Cullen as Mortimer, Kim S. Goldfeder (The Jungle Fun Room) as the Nurse, and Kim Sebastian (Holiday, Baby Boom, La Bamba) as the Witch.
Also rounding out the cast are Robert Anthony Jones (Finding Neverland), Reena Shah (Sita Sings the Blues, Seven, 365 Days/365 Plays), Trey Mitchell (The Jungle Fun Room), Daley Browning, Will Hutcheson, Joan Porter (Inside Amy Schumer, Chicago Med), and Michael Coyne.
The Halloween-inspired synopsis is as follows:
On the night of October 31st, Cole is found thrown into a cold, mysterious, and endless corn maze. Within the maze are characters right out of a Halloween fairy tale. And around every turn, is a glimpse into the reason why. Time is ticking, and Cole is forced to make quick choices and face past decisions in order to heal true love, no what matter what the price.
The reading will be held at 7pm on Monday, June 20th at Marble Collegiate Church's Labyrinth Room, 1 West 29th Street (between 5th Avenue and Broadway). Admission is free. No reservations required. The Puzzle is produced by Hampton, with artistic direction by Marya Spring Cordes. This is the first public reading of the play.
