Free People will open the doors to its 79th boutique at Renaissance at Colony Park this Friday, March 22nd, 2013. Moving into the newly renovated space the 1,800 square foot boutique was designed to have a bohemian bungalow feel. Hand-carved wooden fixtures and cabinetry from India adorn soft plaster walls. The clean backdrop allows for an ever-changing merchandise assortment and seasonal displays to effortlessly interact with the space.
On opening day the first 50 customers will be entered to win a $100 Free People gift card. From 3pm-7pm DJ, Drew Harris, will be spinning beats, and refreshments will be on hand from GiGi's cupcakes. Customers are welcome to come in to shop the assortment, enjoy some tunes, and grab a bite while they are at it.
"We love our southern customer, whose style and charm is always inspiring us," says Free People Director of Stores, Beth Wehagen. "Opening at Renaissance at Colony Park with its open air setting, feels like the perfect fit for Free People."
The location will carry an assortment of apparel, outerwear, and accessories year-round, but at opening customers can expect to find all varieties of shorts and tees. The two categories are strong suits of the brand, and feature innovative silhouettes along and expert washes. Often, the brand's clothing has unexpected features - seams, stitches, and hand-touched elements - that are vintage-inspired and updated with a modern spin. Each style has a bohemian Free People touch to make customers feel confident and beautiful. All pieces are part of the overall free and effortless style that the brand epitomizes.
Additionally, the boutique will be one of 32 Free Peoples stores to carry the brand's intimates line, Intimately Free People. The line includes slips, bras, undies, bodysuits, layering tops, and lounge jackets that are meant to be mixed and matched as underwear and outwear. All pieces pair back to a free and easy look, perfect for the warmer months ahead.
Each store has a team of expert stylists on hand to help customers get their desired Free People look. Customers can also get inspiration online with FP Me, Free People's brand new style Community that offers fans a way to share their personal style, create looks, curate collections, and interact with one another.
The store is located at 1000 Highland Colony Pkwy, #5018 Renaissance at Colony Park, Ridgeland, MS 39157. Store hours will run Mon-Thu 10am-7pm, Fri-Sat 10am-8pm, and Sun 1pm-6pm.
