Frank Shiner Will Perform to Support Breast Cancer Awareness at The Cutting Room

To commemorate October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Singer Frank Shiner has teamed up with National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. and will donate, not only his personal performance, but also 100 percent of the sales of his merchandise for the show on October 7th at The RRazz Room in New Hope PA and The Cutting Room October 21st in NYC.

The designated month and cause has special significance to Shiner as his wife Suzanne was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer from which she has now fully recovered. This 5-year-long battle was eventually responsible for igniting his return to performing.

With the success of his single and video, "Rainy Night in Georgia," multiple sold-out shows, a slew of strong reviews and escalating social media and streaming activity, Frank Shiner's return to The Cutting Room couldn't have come at a better time. The all new show, Lonely Town Lonely Street, based on the title of his acclaimed sophomore album, made its debut at the renowned venue back in March to a sold-out crowd with Rascals great and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Gene Cornish joining Frank on stage for "How Can I Be Sure" and a rousing version of the group's "Good Lovin."

In the last few months, Mr. Shiner's profile has only heightened. The album has recently been streamed over a quarter of a million times on Spotify, with much of the activity in the past 60 days. He has become the most streamed new male Indie Adult Contemporary artist of the year.

Backed by an all-star band including guitarist Sherrod Barnes (Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack, Earth, Wind & Fire), keyboardist Chris Coogan (Bette Midler, Larry Coryell, Ronnie Spector), bassist David Cutler (Iggy Azalea, SZA), saxophonist Jay Rodriquez (Michael Kiwanuka, Prince, Patti LaBelle), drummer Dan Weiner (house drummer for NBC's America's Got Talent, Andrea Bocelli) and singer Michelle Willis (David Crosby, Zac Brown Band), the October 21st show follows up the opening of The Chappaqua Performing Arts Center which resulted in a resounding standing ovation by the over 400 people in attendance.

Another of those "Aha" moments came when Tony Joe White endorsed the singer's version of the writer's classic, "Rainy Night in Georgia", now celebrating its 50th Anniversary. The song and video have become one of the singer's biggest hits to date.
