Masterful comedian, actor, online personality and all around funny bastard releases his first full length spoken word comedy album 'I'm Talking To My Mother' this June. The album will be available by way of just about every online media outlet including iTunes, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Tidal, Google Play and more.
A stop and start process over the past six months, 'Mother' is the brainchild of Paladino and his producer Erin Codey and has been a pure labor of love with the natural kinks and circumstances that are surely the ingredients to genius. For the bizarre and striking cover art, Francesco enlisted the help of longtime collaborator and photographer Colleen Issa and its iconic imagery was born of a series of risks and happy accidents that
resulted in pure magic. "Fancescos" as Paladino lovingly calls his fans will be able to hear and experience his work in a layered exposition of his excitingly ferocious and comedic universe in a style all his own.
In support of this monumental and trailblazing occasion is 'The Mother Tour" which will find Paladino performing in clubs across the Tri-State area and beyond, the first being a high profile stint at The Metropolitan Room on Wednesday, July 8th. For tickets, visit http://bit.ly/1KXW4sB.
"Im Talking to My Mother" was inspired by some of the greatest stories that Francesco Paladino has experienced as a child into adulthood. "I wanted to do an album like this when I saw other comics on social media releasing live albums. I wanted to do something different than that. Something nuts. Something that would entertain people, yet confuse them, and yet make them excited about life. How about I sit and read stories from my journal? Or read fan letters? Or just tell a story about something I saw."
The title was inspired by a long time slogan that Paladino uses, that refers to "talking" to people that are ignoring him. "I'm Talking to My Mother" works perfectly because my mother was "half listening my whole life...it explains a lot about me."
The album not only represents personal experience, but social commentary, and of course hilarious observational comedy.
Francesco Paladino studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre / The Actor's Studio then later went on to earn his SAG card through feature films/tv. He started his stand-up adventure by exploring comedy clubs in NYC. Paladino's stylized stand-up continues to travel in the coming months throughout tri-state area with The Mother Tour, promoting his upcoming live comedy/spoken word album "I'm Talking to My Mother". It will soon be available on Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Tidal. In this live performances, Paladino explores the topics of sex, music, drugs, religion, and of course Italian mothers. He has headlined at The New York Comedy Club, Comic Strip Live, The Broadway Comedy Club, Dangerfield's, The Duplex, The Triad, Carolines, Gotham, The Stonewall Inn, The Comedy Cellar, and Stand-Up New York. Paladino has been the featured comic and host for Virgin Records listening parties and is featured in the upcoming season of the Netflix series Orange is the New Black.
