Fortress Productions' DREAM TICKET to Play FringeNYC

Fortress Productions is proud to present DREAM TICKET as part of the 20th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC, running August 12-28th, 2016.

Playwright Ryan Bernsten, fresh from the campaign trail in Iowa, weaves the mania of the election cycle into a timely satire. The production is directed by Outstanding Direction FringeNYC 2012 Winner Kristin Skye Hoffmann and Associate Directed by Marylynne Anderson-Cooper.

In this political satire, populist Becky Roberts and maverick Les Sugarman compete for their party's presidential nomination-despite a history that wasn't strictly political. When the media forces them to run together, their dream ticket becomes a nightmare. Audiences will laugh at the antics of politicos and media alike, until they are faced with the results of our entertainment-dominated political process.

DREAM TICKET features Chris Payseur as maverick Senator Leslie Sugarman, Amy Lee Pearsall* as populist Senator Becky Roberts, Toni Martin* as Sugarman's campaign manager (who keeps her personal life private) Patty Baxter, Olivia Jampol as the vitriol- spitting radio host Darla Finger, Erik Gullberg* as Tea Party campaign manager Rex Herman, Adam Hyland as left-wing media star Thomas Stevenson, Desiree Staples as the flip-floppin' voter Wanda Puffin, and Ryan Bernsten as #SugarmanOrBust bro Ty Chad- wick.
