The Fort Caspar Museum Association (the not-for-profit support group for Fort Caspar Museum) is presenting a Murder Mystery Evening fundraiser on Friday, May 5, 2017, from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Casper Country Club (4149 Country Club Rd, Casper, WY 82609; Phone: 307-235-5777).
It is the roaring 20s. Prohibition is the law of the land, and alcoholic beverages are outlawed. But you would never know it from a covert visit to "The Juice Joint" - a speakeasy hidden in a non-descript building somewhere in downtown Casper. When a fun-filled evening is harshly interrupted by gunfire and a gangster falls, ten customers are identified as witnesses. These "witnesses" soon become suspects when it turns out all ten have the means, motive, and desire to be the murderer! Join us to ascertain the guilty party-or parties....
Enjoy an Italian pasta dinner as you become "detectives" in this fun-filled mystery evening. This is a participatory event, and attendees are literally a part of the show. As a detective, you will question the cast of "suspects" and see if you can collect enough clues by the end of the evening to solve the crime. Guests are encouraged-but not required-to get into the spirit of the evening by wearing 1920s flappers and gangsters attire. A costume contest will determine the best outfit. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the mystery will begin at 6:00 pm. The meal and soft drinks are included, and a cash bar will be available. We will also be holding a raffle and selling additional clues if you get stuck!
The cost for the event is $40 for individuals and $75 for couples, and tickets must be purchased in advance no later than Monday, May 1st. Your ticket will contain the secret password to get into the Juice Joint: it's got the best bathtub gin in town...and we don't want the coppers to bust the party! Purchase your tickets in person or over the phone with a credit card at Fort Caspar Museum or in person at the Wyoming Veterans Museum.
