Forest Hills Stadium (ForestHillsStadium.com), the legendary sporting and entertainment venue hidden in the idyllic Queens, New York neighborhood of Forest Hills, has added a second show to their 2014 concert season. This season will feature an exciting and eclectic mix of some of the biggest names in music and entertainment today, including a special co-headlining performance by Modest Mouse and Brand New on Saturday, August 9th. This concert will follow the previously announced performance by Zac Brown Band on Saturday, June 21st which sold out in minutes. Additional events will be announced soon. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning at 12pm on May 1.Additional information and tickets to all 2014 Forest Hills Stadium events will be available at foresthillsstadium.com.

Long Island's own Brand New has been pushing the boundaries with their brand of genre-defying rock for well over a decade. The band brought that approach to their most recent New York area shows late last year where they performed their entire catalogue of released music, two albums per night from beginning to end, including B-sides. Those shows, as well as many previous local performances (Madison Square Garden in 2006, Nassau Coliseum in 2009), sold out in record time. Washington's Modest Mouse has become the indie rock gold standard, one of the few bands capable of achieving critical and commercial success, including chart-topping albums and Grammy nominations, while still surprising and delighting their longtime fans.

In August 2013 Forest Hills Stadium featured a special, inaugural performance by Mumford and Sons on their "Full English" tour. The concert, the first in the stadium in over 15 years, brought music fans from all over the world to Forest Hills, Queens to experience live music in a truly unique environment. Since then the stadium has undergone a restoration, including a number of renovations and improvements. These include: ticketed seating in the upper bowl, improved ADA seating options, widened aisles and handrail installation as well as a new concourse plan featuring easier access to food, beverage and other facilities. Ticketing will be improved through a new, fan-friendly reserved ticketing system provided by Ticketfly.

Forest Hills Stadium events have been made possible through a partnership with the local community and the partnership is focused on making concerts a rewarding experience for all involved. The stadium is conveniently located feet from the E, M, F, R subway trains as well as the LIRR and concert-goers are strongly encouraged to utilize public transportation as there is no parking available at the stadium or in the surrounding community.

From Billie Jean King to The Beatles, Jimmy Connors to Jimi Hendrix, Chris Evert to The Rolling Stones. For decades the stadium at the West Side Tennis Club was not only host of the U.S. Open, it was also a renowned music venue, tucked into a leafy neighborhood of stately homes in Queens' Forest Hills neighborhood. However, when the U.S. Open moved to larger space in Flushing, Queens in 1977, the architecturally stunning, horseshoe-shaped Forest Hills Stadium fell into disrepair and its days as a music venue faded. In 2013, concert promoters partnered with the West Side Tennis Club to rehabilitate the stadium and bring events back to this storied venue. After an inaugural concert by Mumford and Sons last August the stadium will return this summer with a full slate of entertainment programming. The 2014 concert season will be sponsored by Citi® with additional support from Heineken®. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Wednesday, April 30 at 12pm EST via citiprivatepass.com. Tickets will be available for purchase by the general public beginning at 12pm on May 1.

Modest Mouse was formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington and over the last decade has become the indie rock standard, one of the few bands capable of treading the narrow path where massive popularity is possible without sacrificing their longtime fans.

The band released their first full-length album, This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, on the Up label in 1996. With the release of their second album, The Lonesome Crowded West in 1997, the band's status reached new heights with a legion of fans and critical acclaim. In 2000, Modest Mouse was signed to Epic Records and released their third album, The Moon & Antarctica. In 2004 came the release of their breakthrough album, Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which included the hit "Float On" and has sold over 1.5 million copies and earned the band two Grammy nominations.

Modest Mouse released We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, on March 20, 2007 and immediately entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #1. Most recently the band released the EP No One's First, And You're Next and also reissued Moon & Antartica on vinyl.

Brand New formed in 2000 in Long Island, New York and currently consists of Jesse Lacey, Vincent Accardi, Garrett Tierney and Brian Lane. The band signed to Triple Crown Records and in 2001 released their debut studio album, Your Favorite Weapon. Their second album, Deja Entendu, was released in 2003 and marked a stylistic change for the band. The album's first two singles, "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows" and "Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades", both received significant airplay on MTV and FUSE and Deja Entendu went on to sell more than 500,000 albums in the U.S. and was certified gold by the RIAA.

In 2006 Brand New moved to Interscope Records and released The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. "Jesus" became their highest charting single in the US, peaking at number 30 on the Alternative Songs chart. In March 2008, the band started their own record label, "Procrastinate! Music Traitors." Their fourth album, Daisy, was released in 2009 and became their highest charting album in the US, reaching number six on the Billboard 200.
