'Food of Life' Runs at HERE Arts Center, May 23-24

HERE Arts Center, led by co-founder and artistic director Kristin Marting, is presenting a limited engagement of Food of Life, written and performed by Clea Rivera (Women's Project production of Summer in Gossensass) and directed by Kevin Lawler, May 23-24 at 8:30pm at 145 Sixth Avenue, NYC. The show features musical compositions by Harry Mann and live music accompaniment by Red Wierenga and  Harry Mann.

Press notes state, "Meet Michelle Cassis, an eccentric, passionate French chef in town for her NYC cooking show debut. When she encounters unexpected circumstances, she must improvise, using a bottle of wine, nostalgic torch songs, and joie de vivre.  She welcomes the audience into her colorful, magical and often hilarious world, sharing her views on life, love, art and food. Food of Life debuted at La MaMa ETC Poetry Electric series in April, 2007.  It is a sponsored project of New York Foundation for the Arts."

Food of Life runs Wednesday, May 23rd and Thursday, May 24th at 8:30 PM at the HERE Arts Center, 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome). Tickets are $15, and are available by visiting www.here.org/see/now or by calling (212) 352-3101.
