On Stage at Kingsborough announces its Hanukkah concert featuring International concert Artist Eleanor Reissa and her acclaimed Klezmer band On December 18th at The Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center on the campus of Kingsborough Community College.
“Eleanor Reissa brings a dramatic flair to her soulful renditions of Yiddish folk songs and classics of the Second Avenue Theatre,” stated Anna Becker, Executive Director of On Stage at Kingsborough. “We are looking forward to a joyful celebration of the holiday with this great Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre star and her outstanding Klezmer band.”

International Concert Artist and Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre star Eleanor Reissa and her acclaimed Klezmer Band, The Bloozers, perform in a joyful Hanukkah concert celebrating the beauty and vitality of Yiddish music and humor. Reissa, who has been called the “Yiddish Edith Piaf,” seamlessly blends English and Yiddish with passionate folks songs, classics of the Second Avenue Theatre, and stirring expressions of love and spirituality. You don’t have to understand Yiddish to enjoy!
The Bloozers include Klezmatics co-founder Margot Leverett, Klezmer Brass All Stars Bryan Drye and Aaron Alexander, Marty Confurius of the Klezmer Mountain Boys, and world-renowned Accordionist Will Holshouser.
