The weekend features some of the finest Folk/Roots musicians who will perform and present workshops. Cathy Barton & Dave Para give dynamic performances acclaimed for their variety and expertise in both vocal and instrumental styles.
Harry Bolick, fiddler extraordinaire, was born in Mississippi and focuses on the classic fiddle tunes of his home state. He teaches fiddle and mandolin and offers workshops on Mississippi fiddle tunes.
Susan Trump, a mountain dulcimer player, guitarist, banjo player, vocalist, songwriter and performer, sings of the hills, farms, and small towns to the sweet sounds of the mountain dulcimer.
Alan Friend performs and gives workshops in Old-Time Music, traditional ballads and more. He teaches old-time banjo, both clawhammer and finger picking styles. Alan is a fine singer of traditional ballads.
Located near New Paltz, the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa is nestled amid the beautiful Shawangunk Mountains. Enjoy good food, newly renovated rooms, tennis, golf, table tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and more. A transportation coordinator helps to arrange rides to the weekend.
