Flushing Town Hall Presents the Premiere of OLIVE AND PEARL

On Saturday, March 18, Treehouse Shakers will bring "Olive & Pearl", the story of a young girl who is being raised by her lovingly granny, to Flushing Town Hall. This will be the premiere of this play which makes it especially exciting!

Prior to both shows (11am and 2.15am), there will be a workshop in which youngsters can make their own puppets (10.15am and 1.30pm). Come out and join us for a fun afternoon! After the show, stop by our gift shop and pick up something special!

Enjoy puppet-making with household objects, storytelling, and creative drama based on folktales, finger tales, and poetry of home. For ages 0-5 years. Tree House Shakers' Olive & Pearl is part of the New York State Presenters Network Presenter Artist-Partnership Project made possible by a regrant from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

Olive & Pearl is the story of a young girl, Olive, being lovingly raised by her granny, Pearl. Intimately staged, audiences sit within Olive & Pearl's home, which is made out of a dome of soft felts, crocheted squares, and colorful fabrics. Magical, visual, stimulating, and oftentimes funny, Olive & Pearl is a supportive first performance for the very young. For ages 0-5 years.
