Evita, will headline
Trouble in Shameland, a new musical that will run as part of the The New York International Fringe Festival from August 11th through 27th.
With book, music and lyrics by Bryan Putnam, the show follows
"one man's tragic story, a mother's triumphant return to living, and a
young boy's never-ending search for his lost platypus."
Trouble in Shameland
will feature musical direction by Kenneth Gartman and lighting design
by Herrick Goldman. Brad Standley, Garrett Eucker,
Mary Mossberg,

O'Donnell, Matthew Hardy and Eric Zutty will also be featured in the
musical.
Lacey, who won a Theatre World Award for making her Broadway debut in the 1978 revival of
Hello, Dolly!, served as one of
Patti LuPone's replacements during the original run of
Evita;
she won a Drama-Logue Award and would also play the Argentinian First
Lady in touring companies of the show. Her other Broadway credits
include
The Grand Tour, Les Miserables, the 1995 revival of Hello, Dolly! (again as Irene Molloy) and
An Evening with Jerry Herman. She was most recently seen Off-Broadway in the
Kathie Lee Gifford musical
Under the Bridge.
