First Trailer for SHREK: THE MUSICAL On DVD/Blu

The first trailer for the long-awaited DVD/Blu-ray release of a live filmed performance of recent Broadway musical SHREK has been revealed, showcasing the family-friendly show's stars, Brian d'Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Christopher Sieber and more in action.

Also, it has recently been rumored that SHREK will arrive on DVD/Blu-ray on October 15 following an HD streaming premiere on September 17, though official confirmation from DreamWorks is still pending on those dates.

Starring Brian d'Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Christopher Sieber, Daniel Breaker and John Tartaglia, SHREK: THE MUSICAL features a score by Jeanine Tesori and a book by David Lindsay-Abaire, with direction by Jason Moore, based on the hit 2001 DreamWorks film and 1990 Willam Steig book of the same name.

The family-friendly musical about a flatulent ogre originally ran on Broadway from December 2008 until January 2010, followed by an extensive national tour of a revamped iteration of the show and eventually a new 2011 West End mounting featuring many new elements, as well.
