The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 10th Anniversary Festival from August 11 - 27, 2006. This year, the festival will be the largest ever, presenting programming by 216 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies. Shows represent 11 countries (including Poland, Australia, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, France, Japan and Ireland) and 20 US States (including Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, New Jersey and Wisconsin).

Tickets went on sale to the public at 12:01 am Friday, July 28 and continue to sell briskly. Several productions have sold out individual performances including Flying on The Wing (which has sold out 5 of its 7 scheduled performances), Open House and Broken Hands. Other current sales leaders include Danny Boy, In Transit, Rainy Days and Mondays, Walmartopia, Air Guitar, Hermanas and A Time To Be Born.

Performances cover a wide range of disciplines including theater, dance, performance art, children's theater, spoken word, puppetry, and multimedia. FringeNYC is a production of The Present Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Elena K. Holy. A complete list of shows with scheduling information is currently available at www.FringeNYC.org. Printed guides are now available at FringeCentral (27 Mercer Street, between Grand and Howard Streets in SoHo) or Borders Books & Music stores in Manhattan.
