First Promo Photo Of Idina Menzel & IF/THEN Cast

The introductory promotional photo of the principal ensemble of the highly anticipated new Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey musical If/Then is now available to view, featuring headliner Idina Menzel as well as co-stars Anthony Rapp, LaChanze and more in a genial group shot.

Menzel and the cast don contemporary clothing in the first collective look at the actors all in character, in costume - or at least in pseudo-costume given that this is a show still in very early rehearsals, out-of-town!

The official synopsis for If/Then is as follows: "On the verge of turning 40, Elizabeth moves back to New York City, the ultimate city of possibility, intent on a fresh start - new home, new friends, and hopes for a resurgent career. But even in her carefully planned new life, the smallest decision or most random occurrence will impact her world in ways she never dreamt possible. Set against the ever-shifting landscape of modern day Manhattan, If/Then is a romantic and original new musical about how choice and chance collide and how we learn to love the fallout."

IF/THEN begins performances at The National Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 and the official opening is set for Sunday, November 24, 2013. The production will then begin previews on Broadway on March 5, 2014 and will officially open on March 27, 2014.
