A first look at the cast hard at work in rehearsal for the West End iteration of acclaimed historically-based Kander & Ebb musical THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS is now available to view.

Additionally, a new Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign has been established for the project, as well.

The official description of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS is as follows: "Step right up and jump on board for this sensational musical that brings to life the extraordinary true story of nine black youth, in a case that changed history forever. The Scottsboro Boys is the Winner of the Critics' Circle Best Musical Award 2013, and nominated for six Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical. The Scottsboro Boys is also the final collaboration between the three time Tony, two time Emmy and two time Grammy award-winning legendary composing duo Kander and Ebb, best known for the worldwide musical sensations CABARET and CHICAGO, widely considered by the theatre going public as two of the greatest musicals ever. The brilliant book is by Tony and Emmy nominated David Thompson (STEEL PIER and the current revival of CHICAGO). The Scottsboro Boys is directed and choreographed by the incomparable, five time Tony award and two time Olivier award-winning Susan Stroman whose credits include THE PRODUCERS and so much more. After its successful run at the Young Vic, where the extraordinary cast received a standing ovation at every performance, The Scottsboro Boys will be making history with its West End premiere in October. Don't miss this all-singing, all-dancing, exhilarating and bold new musical, and experience the show that everyone is talking about."
