Recognizable Broadway/Hollywood crossover star Alfred Molina was spotted onset of the new HBO film adaptation of Larry Kramer's THE NORMAL HEART last week, directed by Ryan Murphy, and shots of the actor in costume have appeared online.
Sporting suspenders, pinstripe pants and a spiffy striped tie, Molina shares a scene with Mark Ruffalo, who plays protagonist Ned Weeks in the true-life-based period piece centered on the AIDS crisis in New York City in the 1980s and some of those who it affected.
Molina portrays Ben Weeks, the brother of Ned Weeks (Ruffalo) in the film.
THE NORMAL HEART stars Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons, Taylor Kitsch, Jonathan Groff and Julia Roberts, also featuring appearances by Joe Mantello, Armand Schulz, Joel Grey, Frank De Julio and more. It is directed by Ryan Murphy.
THE NORMAL HEART will premiere on HBO next year.
