The very first listen to a track from the highly anticipated forthcoming soundtrack for the new NBC live TV presentation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic family-friendly musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC is now available to preview.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood as Maria and five-time Tony Award-winning stage and screen star Audra McDonald as the Mother Abbess lend compelling and attractive vocals to the score standout "My Favorite Things" in the new clip of the complete track from the soundtrack just released.

Observers will note that Maria performs this number at the nunnery and not at the Von Trapp family estate as in the 1965 film - after all, this is a faithful small screen adaptation of the original stage version, not a movie remake.

And, two things are for sure already - Carrie and Audra sound sensational!
