The First Annual maelstrÖm fiEstival in New York City takes place Thursday, May 27th through Sunday, May 29.   The Fiestival runs Thursday, May 27th 7pm-11pm at The Invisible Dog (51 Bergen St). Cost is $5; Friday, May 28th 6pm-8pm at Cornelia Street Café (29 Cornelia Street) Tickets are $7 and include one free drink; and Saturday, May 29th 7pm-9.30pm at Bowery Poetry Club (308 Bowery Street). Maelström, a Belgium based publisher and artist has organized an annual fiestival of poetry, theater, visual arts and music in Brussels and for three days he brings the event to New York City featuring renowned artists Jerome Rothenberg, Nicole Peyrafitte, Pierre Joris, and Dwayne Morgan.
