This November, the 41st NYC Marathon kicks off at its traditional starting point; the Verrazano Bridge on beautiful Staten Island.
Picking up on marathon fever, the Staten Island Children's Museum is proud to get all New Yorkers in the mood to run; from crawlers and toddlers, to little sprinters, during our 1st Annual SI Children's Museum Almost 1K!
Children are never too young to enjoy the fresh autumn air and stretch their legs and feel the joy of running! Four categories of runners, diaper dashers to kids aged 6 and up, will run different length courses, medals awarded to all competitors!
Pre-run warm-up exercises led by Sheena Ruff, Staten Island Children's Museum's own competitive running expert! Enjoy running-themed activities and crafts all day at the Museum. All children will receive a medal of participation, bottled water and an energy bar. Are your kids too young to run? Push them in their strollers, everyone can participate!
Come join the fun, get in the Marathon mood and get moving!
