Firebird Youth Theater's world premier production of Expresso, an original comedy by Leo and Pavel Lion, will play at the Roy Arias Stage II, May 2nd - 4th, 2014.
Expresso is directed by co-author Leo Lion (14) and will be performed by a cast of 18 homeschooled teens from the NYC area.
Expresso tells the story of Brown Coffee House, which faces disaster when the looming monopolistic power of the corporate giant "Sckubrats" opens up across the street. Brown's employees, often eccentric and misguided, try desperately to stay in business by scrambling to get business booming again and rid their area of the corporate plague.
Established in 2013, Firebird Youth Theater provides an artistic outlet for homeschooled children and teens in the NYC area. Every production is performed, directed and managed entirely by homeschooled youth.
