At last week's Upfront Presentations, FOX Chairman Kevin Reilly announced that the sixth and final season of the musical dramedy Glee would not feature a regular 26-episode run.
"We're going to sit down and talk [to exec producer Ryan Murphy] about how to end the show and how many [episodes] that is," revealed Reilly, adding "The advantage of airing it later in the season is that it doesn't have to feel the pressure of delivering."
Today, TVLine shares that the number of episodes on tap for next year may be as little as half the usual order. "Discussions regarding the exact episode count continue, but I hear it'll be roughly 13 episodes," the site's Michael Ausiello told a fan in a Q&A.
Glee star Lea Michele appeared on last night's Watch What Happens Live on Bravo and discussed the show's final season, saying "The plan Ryan has it really cool. It will be in the same place where it all began."
