Fimbres, Sanborn, Brown & More Cast In OZ The Musical, Munchkin & Flying Monkey Auditions Held 11/19 At Indiana Dance Academy

This winter season Oz, the musical will be following the yellow brick road to a city near you.

The show features an all star cast including Aundre Fimbres from MTV's making the band and Danity Kane, Ryne Sanborn from Disney's Smash Hit "High School Musical 1, 2 & 3", Orlando Brown from Disney's That's So Raven, Thayne Jasperson from Fox's hit show So You Think You Can Dance, Ryan Knowles from Nickelodeon and Nathaniel Flatt of V Factory.

The Oz casting team will be holding auditions in your city to find munchkins and flying monkeys for the production.

Auditions are Thursday, November 19 at Indiana Dance Academy (9401 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Ages 6-10 (7:00-8:30) Ages 11-18 (8:30-9:30)

Children ages 6-18 will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to 

work with professional actors and appear live onstage with stars from their favorite tv shows. The curtain will rise at 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Murat Theatre.

OZ, the musical, written, directed and choreographed by Todrick D Hall, player from Oprah Winfrey's The Color Purple, on Broadway, is a contemporary take on L. Frank Baum's classic tale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Complete with munchkins and flying monkeys, Hall's musical takes Dorothy and her friends to the streets where they learn more about life and friendship than they anticipated.

"I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce so many children to the performing arts.

I think the arts help develop responsibility and dedication, and we are having a great time! , "says Hall, creator and producer of the show.

With thirteen original pieces of music, a star-studded cast, and dazzling sets and costumes, OZ, the musical will provide brilliant entertainment for musical enthusiasts of all ages.
