The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Film Comment Selects announced it will present a sneak preview screening of Steven Soderbergh's SIDE EFFECTS tonight, January 30 at 8:00PM. The screening will take place at the Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street) and will be followed by a Q&A with Soderbergh, writer/producer Scott Z. Burns and stars Rooney Mara and Jude Law.

In the tradition of Hitchcock, SIDE EFFECTS is a psychological thriller/ whodunnit, starring Rooney Mara as a woman whose dependence on a new medication for anxiety prescribed by her psychiatrist (Jude Law) unravels the life she shares with her husband (Channing Tatum). Soon a chain of events are set in motion that lead to murder and paranoia, with more than one unexpected twist along the way. The film also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones. An Open Roads Films release, SIDE EFFECTS is due in theaters February 8.

Film Comment Magazine editor-in-chief, Gavin Smith said, "Steven Soderbergh is a filmmaker whose work we at the Film Society and Film Comment eagerly anticipate and feel we have an ongoing dialogue with - figuratively and literally. Therefore, we very much look forward to him returning once again to preview his latest work and speak to him, as well as Scott Z. Burns, and the amazing Rooney Mara and Jude Law about a film that promises to be quite an exciting ride."

Tickets are on sale now: $15/Film Society Members and $20/General Public. Visit Filmlinc.com/sideeffects to purchase tickets or for more information about this event.

Details will soon follow for the 2013 Film Comment Selects film festival (February 18-28). Mark your calendar and stay tuned!
