Fight or Flight's co-artistic directors John Behlmann, Steve Coles Hughes and Eileen Little announce three presentations of their latest trapeze, storytelling extravaganza, which tosses the most famous great white shark in cinema history into the air and into the realm of high-flying parody.
Here is how they bill the show... Remember that shark novel? This is NOT that. Remember that shark movie?
This is NOT that. Remember when Fight or Flight turned that shark movie based on that shark novel into an action-packed, hilarious, scary-ous shark trapeze show? This is not NOT that. This is Not Just Another White Shark.
All three performances will be at The Muse Brooklyn aerial theater located in Williamsburg at 32 S 1st St. Performances are July 22nd at 8pm, July 23rd at 8pm and July 24th at 10pm.
Wes Grantom (Eager to Lose, The Steadfast) directs a cast that includes John Behlmann (Eager to Lose, 39 Steps, Journey's End), Richard Thieriot (Clybourne Park, Goodman Theatre's Luna Gale), Dan Loeser (Trapeze Hero at Ars Nova) and many more. Original music is composed by Phil Pickens (Sweet Tea Circus).
Following their sold out Ant Fest presentation of Trapeze Hero, Fight or Flight is taking on the scariest shark to ever grace the silver screen. Fight or Flight is a core group of actor/aerialists committed to creating plays for the trapeze. They aim to break open great stories with innovative imagery, and elevate their work by literally elevating themselves.
