Fifth Wall Productions to Stage HYSTERICAL! at FringeNYC

Fifth Wall Productions is proud to present Hysterical! by Elenna Stauffer, making its world premiere at The Players' Club Theatre as part of the 2016 New York International Fringe Festival- Fringe NYC, a production of the Present Theatre Company.

Hysterical! tells the story of a high school cheerleading team's strange and terrifying year. As one by one the Bandits succumb to a mysterious illness, the traditional pecking order is upended and the girls' relationships are tested. Inspired by actual news stories about mass hysteria among modern American high schoolers, Hysterical! is a poignant, cheer-full look at life on the cusp of adulthood.

The cast of Hysterical! will feature Haley Beauregard (Film: The Night We Met, TV: Point Society), Nadia Brown (A Cordial Invitation, Gene Frankel), Samantha Debicki (Film: City Limits, Dawn), Roxy Reynolds (Irene Ryan Nomination, DC Metro Best Actress) and Miranda Noelle Wilson (Theatre: Adventures of Mabel, McGinn-Cazale; The Marble Helen, LaMama; Film: The Eve).

Playwright Elenna Stauffer is a professional voice actress and has performed Off-Off Broadway (LCT Directors' Lab, HERE, Theatre at St. Clements, Wings). Her one-act play, B-Roll was the first place winner at the InspiraTO! short play festival in Toronto this June. MFA, Columbia. She was recently profiled in Adam Szymkowitz' I Interview Playwrights blog (aszym.blogspot.com).

Director/Choreographer Deborah Wolfson previously directed The Bobbed-Haired Bandit, Somewhere Safer, and Williamsburg: The Musical! at the NY Fringe. Other credits include In Your Image (59 E 59), and she has worked on Jersey Boys and The Farnsworth Invention and is the choreographer in residence for the Gotham Girl Roller Derby Jeerleaders.

Cheer Stunt Choreographer Cicily Daniels has previously choreographed at Yale University. Her performance credits include The Little Mermaid (u/s Ursula, Broadway), The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess (u/s Mariah, Nat'l Tour), A Night with Janice Joplin (Odetta and Bessie Smith, Nat'l Tour) and Film/TV (American Gangster, Ugly Betty, The Knick).
