Fiddler on the Roof Plays 500th Performance Tonight

On Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 8:00 pm FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, currently starring Harvey Fierstein and Andrea Martin, will play its 500th performance. The production, directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, with Jerome Robbins' original Tony Award-winning choreography, is now the longest running revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF in the history of Broadway.

In addition to Harvey Fierstein and Andrea Martin, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF also stars Christopher Cardona, Patrick Heusinger, Philip Hoffman, Sally Murphy, Tricia Paoluccio, Richard Poe, Laura Shoop, Peter Anthony Smith, Paul Anthony Stewart, David Wohl, Yusef Bulos, Chris Ghelfi, Betsy Hogg, Mark Lotito, Tom Titone, Alison Walla, David Best, Ward Billeisen, Randy Bobish, Melissa Bohon, Shane Braddock, Enrique Brown, Kristin Carbone, Rachel Coloff, Sean Curley, Rita Harvey, Joy Hermalyn, Keith Kühl, Jeff Lewis, Mark Moreau, Roger Rosen, David Rossmer, Elena Shaddow, Michael Tommer, Francis Toumbakaris, Ann Van Cleave, Robert Wersinger, Lori Wilner, Bruce Winant, Gustavo Wons, Adam Zotovich and Nancy Opel as Yente.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has a book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF opened Thursday, February 26, 2004, at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street), and is produced by James L. Nederlander, Stewart F. Lane/ Bonnie Comley, Harbor Entertainment, Terry Allen Kramer, Bob Boyett/Lawrence Horowitz and Clear Channel Entertainment.

The playing schedule for FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm.
