As Caesar, a martini swigging, wise-cracking, omnisexual Latin lover, Ferrante has played opposite Tony Award-winning Liliane Montevecchi, folk legend Joan Baez, the Motel's Martha Davis and currently actor and Pink's aerial choreographer Dreya Weber.
Ferrante's Caesar has played more than 1200 performances in ZinZanni's ornate, century old Belgian tents - first in San Francisco and now exclusively at their Seattle venue. In 2010, Ferrante took Caesar to Philadelphia's historic Walnut Street Theatre for a limited run and to Amsterdam's Palazzo in 2012.
A mainstay of the Seattle theatre community, Ferrante is also renown for his internationally acclaimed portrayal of Groucho Marx off-Broadway, in London and on the PBS television special Groucho: A Life in Revue written by the comedian's son Arthur. For the past three summers, he played his one-man An Evening With Groucho at Seattle's ACT Theatre and performed it in over 400 cities world wide including a recent Australian tour. Ferrante received New York's Theatre World Award and nominations for New York's Outer Critics Circle Award and London's Laurence Olivier Award.
As director, Ferrante helmed the premiere of Old Wicked Songs by Jon Marans which became a Pulitzer finalist and the most produced play of 1997. At the Walnut Street Theatre, Ferrante directed Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, Broadway Bound, Lost in Yonkers, The Sunshine Boys and Laughter on the 23rd Floor.
On television, Ferrante recently guest starred as a talking mime on Rob Corddy's Emmy-winning Childrens Hospital and was heard in the animated The Garfield Show.
