Felicia Madison Takes Over As West Side Comedy Club's New Talent Director ImageStarting out in stand-up comedy at an age when most careers, comedy or not, are well established or even winding down, Felicia Madison's comedic calling has taken off in a big way, and her success is only growing. Now she brings her savvy satire, connections, and irreverent wit to the West Side Comedy Club as their Director of New Talent.

The real-life modern Mrs. Maisel of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the Netflix period TV show account of a heroine housewife turned comedian in 1958 New York, Felicia first pursued her comedy career at the Manhattan Comedy School. And when her children were "old enough not to care", Felicia took her comedy seriously and hit the stage.

She soon launched Laughing Affairs, a one-of-a-kind pop-up daytime comedy event, which can be held anytime and anywhere, including private homes, restaurants, and clubs-wherever participating groups desire. The events feature a number of comedians, who entertain while guests dine, drink, and have an uproarious good time. First featured in Laughing Affairs was her signature Laughercise shows, billed as laughter having "the same benefits as exercise, so skip the gym and come to the next Laughercise lunch!" Laughercise was first produced in restaurants and is now held exclusively at West Side Comedy Club. Felicia hopes to bring the show to other cities soon.

West Side Comedy Club, run by three women, is now home to Felicia's sharp wit and astute insights into aging, being a mother (especially being a mother in Manhattan), sex, marriage, and modern-day issues facing women. Her hilarious and self-deprecating humor resonates with audiences of all ages.

Felicia #blogs, has a podcast, is writing a sitcom, and is involved in Comedy for a Cause, where she raises funds for a host of pressing social issues and those in need. "This is what happens when you don't support your kids' dreams," jokes Madison. "They turn 50 and become stand-up comedians."
