"The idea of 'Will Sing for Food' was inspired by Julie's volunteering at the Holy Apostle Soup Kitchen when she could not travel back to her home in WA state for the holidays.  'I wanted to give back somehow and how better than to put on a night of tunes that inspire feelings of compassion, joy, and gratitude. The hope is to  inspire people to do something.  No matter how small you can make a difference and working at the soup kitchens really reminds you of that.  Wheather it be with a smile, a quarter, or a meal, you do make a difference,'  Reiber said. 'The night will suit all musical tastes with tunes varying from Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell to Sondheim and Jason Robert Brown.'"

All proceeds will go to The Holy Apostle Soup Kitchen and The Bowery Mission. The Holy Apostle Soup Kitchen has been helping people for  23 years in New York City serving 1,100 meals a day to the hungry and needs volunteers year round.  The Bowery Mission serves up to 900 meals a day and also has numberous programs for the homeless including residential recovery and medical clinic services.
