Monet Sabel & Matthew Stoke, JUNE 4 AT 9:30PM:
Until now, Monet Sabel (Sweeney Todd Off-Broadway) and Matthew Stoke (Williamstown Theatre Festival, Cherry Lane) had only sung together after a couple bottles of wine, at which point one of them would inevitably turn on The Last Five Years recording. They met at NYU on day one of acting class, and spent the next four years becoming best friends. After enduring a BFA's worth of traumatic vocal performance classes, and late night sessions frantically memorizing Chekhov, the cliché of falling in love with your best friend became a reality.
Monet returns to Feinstein's/54 Below after most recently appearing in The Muppets concert series, and has developed shows at the club including Zack Zadek's The Crazy Ones, Hit List from "Smash," and the Smile reunion concert. She has enjoyed originating songs from new musical theatre writers in concerts, demos, and workshops. Matthew was last seen at the club in Chasing Summer by Chavez and Papadimos. In venues across the city he has debuted new musicals by writing teams such as Gretchen Cryer/Nancy Ford, Jonathan Fadner/John Blaylock, and Edison Hong/Tim Parker.
Taking the stage for the first time together, this night will feature some of Monet and Matthew's most-loved tunes. With songs by contemporary musical theatre writers, bands such as Lake Street Dive, and legends like Stephen Sondheim, it is sure to be a great introduction to this up-and-coming duo.

Heath Saunders & Natalie Walker, AUGUST 11 AT 9:30PM
An Ideal Husband.
The Good Wife.
From their first meeting at a gay porn studio on 40th Street in September 2015, it was fate. They bonded over a love for D'Aulaire's Book of Greek Myths and erotic thriller The Perfect Guy (19% on RottenTomatoes) and have been inseparable ever since. Last fall they made their dream of playing opposite each other a reality as Jack and Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Concert here at 54, but this taste did nothing to satiate their craving for a true Lunts lifestyle. And so: this August, Heath Saunders (The Great Comet, Newton's Cradle, Jesus Christ Superstar Live on NBC) and Natalie Walker (Puffs, Search Party, mostly Twitter let's be honest) welcome you into their home* for the wedding reception they never had because they are not "technically" or "legally" or "heterosexually" bound. He'll do some of his music, she'll do some of her bits, and together they'll perform classic songs they've always wanted to sing with and to each other.
It will be The Sonny and Cher Show if both Sonny and Cher were Cher, or if Cher was Cher and Sonny was a horse. It will be high-brow and low-brow and always perfectly-arched-brow. You will not leave in the same position on the Kinsey scale. Black tie encouraged. Jumpsuits expected.
*editor's note: Natalie - you don't live here (ARTIST'S NOTE: YES I DO)
