Farah Alvin Performs Uptown Solo Concert on January 4

Broadway performer Farah Alvin will appear at New Leaf Café in Fort Tryon Park on January 4th, 2007. 

Offering three sets from 8 PM through 11 PM, Alvin will perform new material, standards and songs from her album "Someday."  She will be backed by Matt Sherwin on guitar and Dave Hertzberg on bass.

Alvin, who most recently appeared as Mabel in Goodspeed Opera's The Pirates of Penzance, starred Off-Broadway in I Love You Because.  Her Broadway credits include The Look of Love, Nine, Saturday Night Fever and Grease.

New Leaf Café is located at One Margaret Corbin Drive; it can be reached by exiting the 190th stop on the A subway.
