Faith Prince to Star in Reprise! 'Baby' in L.A.

Tony Award-winner Faith Prince will star as Arlene in the Reprise! Broadway's Best Marvelous Musical Monday production of Baby.

Presented as the second production of the Los Angeles series' 10th season, Baby -with book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. - will perform one night only, Monday, February 5 at 8:00pm at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA.  Broadway's Kevin Chamberlin (Chicago, Seussical) will direct.

Prince was recently seen on the Showtimes series "Huff."  She will also be seen in the upcoming independent film Our Very Own, with Allison Janney and Cheryl Hines, and opposite Hilary and Haily Duff in their feature film Material Girls.  Prince won a Tony for playing Miss Adelaide in the 1992 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, for which she also won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards. She was nominated for two other Tonys for her portrayal of Ella Peterson in the revival of Bells Are Ringing and for Jerome Robbins' Broadway.  On television, Prince appeared for five seasons on "Spin City," and has also been seen on "House," "Monk" and "Now and Again." Prince made an award winning cabaret debut at Joe's Pub in New York City, and the live recording. Baby, which received 7 Tony Award nominations, "tells the story of three couples at different stages of their lives as they deal with the painful, rewarding and agonizingly funny consequences of having a child.
